This game was my final project for Game Design 101 at Hostos Community College CUNY in the Fall 2023 term, taught by Professor Marcelo D. Viana Neto.

The assignment was to use Bitsy to create a game that would be a gift for someone in your life.

I learned a lot about Bitsy in a short amount of time. My biggest breakthrough was using "exits" as walk-over event triggers by having them automatically "lock" shut, disabling their movement functions and only activating their accompanying dialogue.

All game art and music was created by me within Bitsy (make.bitsy.org)

This was shown as part of the Fall 2023 Hostos Student Arcade.

The accompanying video was my final project for my Digital Design 101 of the same term, taught by Professor Zaira Ramos-Barreto. Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, and the free web-based pixel art creation program Piskel (piskelapp.com) were used to create the video. Free images of libraries, books, and gameboys, as well as the music, were obtained from the website pixabay.com.
